I'm really just toying with the idea of going back to handicapping horses. Myself and a friend devoted a lot of energy over 2 years in the 70s to try to make money at our local harness track. We had to input the past performances at keypunches/terminals from stacks of old programs we managed to get from the PR people. Here are a few bottom line precepts I have learned that maybe of help for evaluating all methodologies/softwares;

1. request a demonstraion of their porgram based on your input data; for example Penn National Race card etc see if desired results (based on your peronsality bankroll) are fortcoming functioning for you.

Are you familiar with this site? They seem to have it all - handicapping software, as well as data for your own programs. They cover harness racing too. Are there better sources for computer digestable data?
