Here's a link with information on how to contact the Library.

I didn't see anything mentioned on their web-site about the earthquake or hurricane

damaging the Library.

i was at work (hotel in AC) at a multi computer desk,looking at LP. i thought one of the other ppl. at the desk was shaking it,grabbed the desk to slow the shaking and relized,hey this puppy is bolted hard to the wall,nother person 2 seats away said is this an earthquake ? he knew i used to live in cali.i said i don't know,they shake alot harder than that.when i got home (15m. away) i asked my wife about it she said was'nt anything here, told her it was abt 1:50 pm and she said the dogs were goi... UPDATES:

The Washington Monument will be closed indefinitely after engineers found cracks near the top following Tuesday's earthquake.

Engineer: Nat'l. Cathedral will be 'good as new'

At the majestic Washington National Cathedral, at least 3 of the 4 top stones on the central tower fell off, and ~cracks appeared in the oldest part of the structure after Tuesday's earthquake. Engineers say the damage can be fixed. (Aug. 24)

This has been a very strange day, first the hurricane stuff, then I log on and see Harvest asking about Nostradumas, then I here of 2 oddball earthquakes, one on the east coast, and one in colorado, now you add the Edgar Cayce in, Today is a powerful day indeed.

Happygirl, I agree.

It was no joke.

My computer was hanging on the edge of my desk when I got home.

I think I got there before it hit the floor.

When the animals go crazy, you know something is going on.

The ones in CA vary. I've been in 2 in CA.

I don't think either one of them was as bad as this one in VA today.

I'm still trying to catch my breath.

Try to remain calm and be safe.

Very strange indeed.

I've been in two earthquakes in CA.

I don't think they were as bad as this one today in VA.

It was no joke and they had to be here to feel the tremors. I live in the country and all I saw was deers running through the woods and that alone scared me. If this is just a small one I can't imagine what california go through. For some reason I get a feeling that we will get a big one eventually.

It was very crazy indeed.

Everything in my house is on the floor.

The pictures came off the wall.

The chairs are in the middle of the floor.

The table is against the wall.

I still can't use my cell; can only make a few calls from the house phone.

All the sirens are going off here. The fire department is everywhere you look.

We are still trying to reach one of my friend's mother.

She lives where the center of the earthquake was.

We are gonna have to go look for her.... [ More ]
