			<description><![CDATA[<p>Competition is what spurs new ideas, creativity and progress.<br /><br />I agree with that Ridge. I think that maybe this quote may sound less radical in the context<br /><br />of the paragraph that it came from, but I&#x27;ve never read the book. There&#x27;s competition and then there&#x27;s<br /><br />total control and domination, which doesn&#x27;t leave room for any competition.<br /><br />That&#x27;s what I thought the author meant when I first read the quote. 			<description><![CDATA[<p>With all due respect:<br /><br />That sounds all nice and flowery and touchy-feely but it&#x27;s just socialist propaganda and it doesn&#x27;t work.<br /><br />Competition is what spurs new ideas, creativity and progress.<br /><br />When somebody throws the ladder down, you put the ladder back up or find some other way to the top and kick the other guy&#x27;s ass when you get up there.<br /><br />That&#x27;s how progress is made, not by pie-in-the-sky euphemisms.</p>]]></description>
