DR - Just an FYI, I stopped at a gas station this morning on way to work. I saw a $5,000 winner hanging up on FL's $200 Lucky for life ($20) scratcher. It was ticket #042 out of #049

For the most part, the big winners I've seen have actually been pretty spread out. The most recent ones I've seen are a $10,000 (Gold Rush Tripler) which was ticket #000, and a $20,000 Monopoly which was I believe ticket #038.

I have heard that in FL most Top Prizes are either at the end or beginning, but it's hard to say. If you think about it, how many people actually get to see multiple Top Prize tickets ya know? Usually most people have never seen a single one.

Hey B$Rizzle..in the stores where the winners are hanging up, can you do me a favor next time if you

remember? Could you take a look at the ticket numbers...are they randomly placed or are most of them

at the front and end of the pack.

A store I go to has a lot of tickets hanging in the window, he just recently started posting the winning

tickets of $100 and up. I noticed an awful lot of winners from 1 - 10 on the $10's and $20's and winners

from 024 to 029 on the $20's.

Ya know Skeptic, I looked at the pics on google maps and formed my own opinion but didnt want to sound stereotypical so I kept my mouth shut LOL. If you look at the pics, you will get the sense of what kind of people hang out at this store . For example there is a mass of cars just parked in random order in front of what used to be gas pumps. Hey B$Rizzle, im guessing one of 5 possibilities

1- Guy 'hawks' the tickets all day like you said

2- Someone else bought the ticket and handed it over for him to scan it and he told the person it was a loser and kept the ticket

3- Someone else bought the ticket and just scratched the code, saw it was a losing code and tossed it. store owner later checked it himself and found the winner

4- He cashed it for a friend who might owe money to the feds ....

This is interesting. Just checked the FL Lottery site and see they posted the first $3 Million dollar winner on GRT.

The interesting part is, the Owner of the store is who claimed the ticket:

Just a FYI, just went to this little hole in the wall shop that I've never been to before they had a GRT ticket #000 for $10,000 hanging up. It was a single match for $10,000. They had the claim slip hanging up with it showing claimed on 9/6/11.

The clerk said they had a $20,000 winner 1 week later on the $20 Monopoly also

I feel the same as you do. This game sux big time. Put it this way, I frequent about 9-10 stores. Ive asked every one of them how many $500 they have seen, and they all say the same thing None yet ...Except for one store, they saw one and the single store that sold me a $500 winner once on GRT.

So out of 10 stores Ive asked, only 2 have seen a single $500 winner. Besides the $500 win, 90% of them have been losers, and I have found a couple $20's and 1 $30 I believe.

From what I've seen, I think this Krueger guy, along with Marsh and Massengale, are the only multiple winners. The 2 big winners from Fruitland Park were different people, and the same for Kissimmee--the Kissimmee winners were from a 7-11 and Publix right next door, but as far as I know they weren't won by the same person. I've thought the very same thing!

I've only recently learned about the flrules website where FL Lottery published all the possible winning combinations.

Usually, when someone wins a Jackpot game 55% of the money collected goes to the state and 45% (minus 25% federal tax) goes to the winner.

For scratch-offs, I'm not sure how that works exactly, because scratchers don't always sell out.

Got ya, that makes sense: Here's a breakdown using just the break-even twenty dollar wins as an example....

To begin with, there are 126 pools of 120,000 tickets TOTAL--including all prize levels and losing tickets. That's a total of 15,120,000 tickets.

For the break-even wins there are 3 different combinations to get to twenty dollars:

1,008,000 tickets of a combination of $5, plus coins.

1,008,000 tickets of $10x2

Those are the odds for the different COMBOS not overall odds. So getting a combo of $100 x5 for $500 is 1 in 2,400 while a Gold Nugget is 1 in 600

You have to add up the odds and divide by combos to get overall odds

I wondered about this too, and it seems that the odds for each game are extremely higher than the advertised odds on the Florida Lottery website. I've googled the game's name and emergency rules and found the same odds that you reference in your post. It appears that these are the odds 'per pool' released. JAMES WHERE ARE YOU ?????? I need help with this and need to know why the odds for GRT seem to be different on the administative order site - 53ER11-50(1) From what the GRT ticket itself shows. All the odds show higher except the $500K and $3M top prize. These two match exactly with the ticket display odds but the lower tier prizes look way off ? I'm still scratchin' my head wondering how guys like Marsh in Port Charlotte hit two monster wins I think within a year and the guy in the panhandle who also won two jumbos (within a year?) I'd give anything to know how the Lottery dispenses these kind of winning tickets. Is it pure luck ? Does the Lottery actually know if a roll sent out has a huge winner? I agree Skeptic. I've said it before on here about the FL lottery putting out filler tickets every so often. Meaning, they have new scratchers come out often and usually a Top Prize is claimed within first few days. Then they have filler tickets which are money makers for them. Where a Top Prize wont be claimed for a while.

I'm thinking the $5 Money Maker ticket is one of these fillers, as is the Gold Rush Tripler ...I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't a Top Prize claimed on GR Tripler... [ More ]

My buddy just hit $500 last night up in Leesburg (Lake County) at a BP gas station. He said it was a combination of 'coin' symbols and matched numbers of $50 prizes. It was #023. So of course I go get one from the store next door to work--just a minute ago, and it was a loser. I've gotten I think 5 GRT so far, and only one was even a break-even twenty dollar winner. GRT only has ten $500K and four $1.95M lump sum top prizes. If the game lasts a couple of years like past GR's those prizes could be put out few and far between. BDB still has 82 $1M and 6 $10M left to win. Even the ten dollar $200MS still has 8 top $1M prizes. With those prizes still out there - what would you be buying ? I think GRT is another money maker for the Lottery. I talked to a lot of GRT players and not one won the Gold Nugget yet. My best wins were $100.

Bought 2 more GR Triplers from a different Publix yesterday 1 more this morning by my work. All 3 losers.

Not looking good, and Im not liking this game much at all!

Ive asked around at the different stores how they are doing, and they all say the same thing havent really seen any decent winners, just people getting their money back . These stores I buy from flip rolls like they are going out of style too, and still no decent winners.

Yeah I can't believe I tossed it then later decided to recheck all the tickets I tossed out and found one that had a number unscratched and won $5K ! Makes me wonder if I ever threw out another decent win

I hit all my big wins in 2 weeks. $4K, 2x $1K, 3x $500, 5x $200 and about 30x $100

Have not hit anything over $400 since. I think the $400 was a fluke anyway cause the roll was from miami not here

They tend to stick a bunch of good wins all on 1 roll to get addict players excited then they just drain you on the next 5 rolls which are all cold.

As for April, i think the lotto opened their vault and sent out tons of hot rolls everywhere. It has not been the same since or before that.

Sorry to hear your bad luck with GRT. I posted my GRT best results w/2pics the other day. The lucky gas station I buy from just got in a few rolls on the Sept 6 launch - I must have been lucky to get three $100's and a $50 from #000 -#009. Since then I've only bought a few tickets and got zippo. IMO if you get to buy from a hot roll you'll get some decent wins. But how do you know when the roll your buying from is hot? Un-freaking believable. I bought 3 more GRT on my lunch break today. #14-#16, again all losers. Not one winning ticket of any amount this week. The Florida Lottery wonders why it's losing popularity and this is one reason. They flood the markets with too many losing tickets which hurts the posted odds for each game. I just left this store in my neighborhood that claims to be The luckiest store in town . They hang up all the winning tickets they sell or cash in. Today they sold the $500 winner on the new Gold Rush Tripler. It was ticket #006.

GRD was a terrible game. I remember most people here complaining how bad it was compared to regular GR. The GRT looks pretty good however.

Very true, they could be referring to a super old Gold Rush from many years ago, but I did find out the odds on the Gold Rush Doubler here are the odds for Doubler:

The odds are better for the $500 on the Tripler than they were on Doubler, but there still isnt a $30 winner on the Doubler. Seems they are being very tricky

Tricky almost misleading advertising !!! The site said compared to GOLD RUSH GAMES in the past GAMES not the current GOLD RUSH. I have no idea how to track older GR game odds or how many they had labeled Gold Rush. Yeah the letter S puts them in the clear.
