After giving away 10% off the top to charities, I would buy an old average car like a Maverick or a Gremlin and pack it with extras so you wouldn't know what it is really worth. That way you wouldn't have to worry about people targeting you because your driving around an obviously expensive car.

I would do the logical jackpot lottery winner move of purchasing a high end luxury car as soon as the cash hits my account. Honestly, I can see us stopping at the car lot on the way home from the lottery office. It wouldn't be a high end luxury car/truck, though; it'll probably be something more mid-range with a few bells and whistles. Then we'll drop the current car off at the shop for an overhaul, 'cos I love that old thing. I'd either pay off my existing home or buy a new one, not sure which. We like our small house, but it's starting to need more and more work, so we'd like to get a new house. We wouldn't buy anything extravagant, but maybe something a little larger so we can have a room for our exercise equipment.

With MegaMillions coming to Louisiana on November 16, my chances of a big win will get higher.

Ah...I'll just get a bigger apartment. And a few stuff to furnish my apartment. The stuff to furnish my apartment won't cost more than $40,000.

Then I will pay for my parents' and my siblings' mortgage and student loans. Rest of my winning goes to income-generating nestegg.

i almust hate to say it, but first big ticket item, is making my friends large job offers, am talking about offering them a job that pays 200k ish plus a year, to work for me as my full time personal assists. 24/7/365 days a year

now as their job is to be my personal assistants, i can keep them close, keep them form begging they earn it and they already know what i Love and Hate.................................

After settling my affairs (including debts) the first thing that I would do is purchase a home in cash. I wouldn't spend over 400,000 because I don't need anything to extravagant and I don't want to be stuck with high property taxes. Then I would work on my pain free retirement plan, I would invest at least half of the money and try to live off of the intrest.
