Where to cash in a decent winner?

Most of your convienent marts do not hold much cash in the register to pay larger amounts. Many of them will want to pay you with a small amount of cash and balance with money order. That is what I have been told.

Go to a large food chain to cash larger amounts.

Congrats on the $200!

I thought that the stores get a kick back from the lotteries for cashing in tickets, like a tiny percentage of the total cashed in for a month? If so, you might go to a smaller Mom Pop type store to help out the small business people.

Not that there is anything wrong with the larger chain stores.

MADDOG is correct (as always) . Most supermarkets have plenty of cash on hand to accommodate their thousands of daily customers.

I've cashed in tickets totaling $600 with no problems at my local Shaw's supermarket.

No, it doesn't matter. but some retailers don't have enough money early in the AM, so it might be better if you take it to a super-market..

I have a $200 winner on a Monopolu Scratch Off that I want to cash in by tomorrow. My question is does it really matter where you cash a winning ticket with a prize in the hundreds or do you just go anywhere
