yea, primm, used to be called stateline, but there where too many places called stateline so they renamed it primm,

the guy that owned the 3 casinos there was Gary Primm.

According to the news last night (ABC, NBC, etc.) Primm sells more lottery tix than ALL of the other retailers in CA ... Of course that's because all of Las Vegas goes there to buy! Myself included ... even Nipton was crazy this past Monday, so its gonna be a real road trip for me if no winner tomorrow. Maybe Baker this time.

there was a c-store just in back of my apt. complex i could walk to buy tix.

back then they only had scratchers.

Really? You must be more down south somewhere? Feisty,what is the name of that little town that is just over the line that is supposed to be one of the hottest places to buy tickets? Have you been there? It starts with a P, I think? I read they sell more tickets in CA then any other place. Just curious. Thanks if you know!

It always amazes me when I ask people here if they play lottery. 9 out of 10 times I hear a no. With per capita sales of about $93.00 a year per person (last I read) I guess it shouldn't surprise me.

OMG, all I can say is thank God I played for both draws (Tue Fri) last Monday!!! Now if there's no winner on Friday I might have a problem. The news last night showed the people waiting in line for 3 hrs!!!

that line at primm and nipton are prolly worse today after the roll and the bump,

friday should get really crazy as that is when the so.cali ppl. head for vegas,

on I 15 (the highway to hell) even if they got tickets before they left home,

they might say, lets stop at nipton and get more tix.before we cross the state line

I went to lotto store around noon today to play 1950 ...Well the lines were terrible.

I told the lady that owned the store if she needed extra help tomorrow evening to give me a buzz.

While waiting i saw this guy come in and use the scanner. He pulled 10 crumpled tickets out of his pocket and used his beer belly to flatten them back out. It was so funny to watch. Now i see how tickets go unclaimed.

I played some of my tickets for double draws so I could be free to skip lottery lines if the big one didn't hit on Tuesday.

I went in yesterday to get PB and had one person in front of me. So I bought more MM.. Early mornings here in Ardmore have shorter lines..

All of the MM slips were gone at my local gas station and people were asking the clerks for them. There were no LONG lines but plenty of people asking at the counter for QP's and peeps at the machine every few minutes. Lotto fever, baby.

Ahhh...this reminds me of the old days. Lines to buy lottery tickets! Almost unhead of nowadays since you can buy them practically anywhere. I remember when the local news station used to send out a reporter to the liquor store I worked in and filming everytime a jackpot got big. Had my 15 seconds of fame as they filmed me in the lotto booth cranking them out,lol. One time I had a guy come in and want $1000 worth. It was the last 10 minutes before the time ran out. I'm actually waiting until closer to Friday night. It just seems to me that most winners are last minute buyers. However, I don't want to get caught with no tickets Friday night and long lines, so I'll get a couple just in case, then maybe $15 on Friday.

I think best tine of day is mid morning to but your tic's. (To many early morning commuters crowding all the gas stations convenience stores).

My tic's are always filled out days in advance as well. If I spot long lines before walking in store, I'm otta there lickity split

OK, pleasantly suprised they are still there,thought the place at primm killed them off,

my first reaction when i saw the place at primm was, ohh no these greedy @# ^ killed off the little biz that (town?) had,

good to know they are still there, but they prolly only get really busy w/ this kind of JP,

and the place gets a temp. population increase, ya know the other vegas ppl. standin there w/ you.

I went to two stores around 5pm and both of them no lines. Perhaps the lottery wasn't well advertised here or the fact that most people in this town are middle to upper-middle class that they don't care to play. More for me I guess.

That line was RIDICULOUS ... went out there yesterday and had to get back on the highway and go to Nipton. When I got in that little bed breakfast joint the line was wrapped around inside the store! Had to laugh, cause it was still better than Primm, and that was Yesterday. Had to be beyond ugly today.

P.S. funny you went from West to East, I used to live in Old Bridge, NJ before coming out here ...

Therein lies the problem. The people I stand behind NEVER have playslips. They take up extra time trying to remember all the numbers they want to play....and then sometimes tell the clerk to cancel certain numbers. And THEN they want to stand in my way while they check their tickets instead of stepping aside.

It pisses me off almost as much as somebody ahead of me in the drive-thru that order like $50 worth of food for the small army of kids they have in the car.

It doesn't take that long when they fill out the playslips like I do. Most people don't want to be bothered, but I figure that way there is no chance of a mistake on the clerks part which could cost me a win.

Besides, I don't want to stand around checking my tickets. There's so many I can't remember everything I played. LOL

I hate that too. Its usually some little old lady buying like $50 worth of tickets....and the jackpots don't even have to be high.

I also HATE when people have like 30 numbers they want to play for Pick3/pick4.

This is getting insane...

I've been to the fuel stop twice today. The first time there the guy ahead of me bought $190 worth of tickets and the second time $250.00. Literally, tied up the machine. I didn't bother waiting the first time and was forced to the second trip through.
