I didn't miss your point, I just didn't agree with it. I don't think you can test a strategy by picking a line and comparing it with previous drawings or by using a simulator to see the chances of it winning something.

When I compared the 2 sets of 45 lines for MM, that wasn't back testing but simply checking to see if any of those combinations had won anything in past drawings. Since combinations of 4 and 5 almost never repeat, that could be part of a strategy for picking combinations to pla... [ More ]

You missed the point of my post, which is getting to be par for the course here. You're correct that the simulator won't let you single step or run multiple lines against the random draws it generates. However, you CAN uncheck the Quick Pick box and manually set your single line of numbers to whatever you want, for a minimum of 104 random draws. If you could be convinced that what happened in past draws is having NO impact on what happens today, or tomorrow, you might find the simulator... [ More ]

Playing a 15 number set would only require 95 lines on a 4 if 5 of 15 wheel.

LP has a 3 if 3 highly balanced wheel with 57 combos and probably a better play to run the wheel twice using different orders for $114.

I keep going back to the set of 35 (recently drawn numbers) because we know for a fact that they produced 17 opportunities for 5 of 5 last year.

But again it depends on how much you want to risk and a 3 if 5 of 35 numbers has 174 combos. A 2 if 2 wheel has 74 combos with a d... [ More ]

You have to know what you are suggesting is a waste of time for testing any strategy other than buying a single quick pick.

The PB simulation you mentioned is simply picking one of 175 millions possible PB combinations to represent the player's numbers and another one to represent the drawing. The only thing it comes close to simulating is buying one PB quick pick for a single drawing.

It's not about what could have been done , but what can be done. The only thing that was proved in the last 808 MM drawings, placing the numbers into the 2if5 wheel in numerical order from 1 to 56 produced no five number matches. I proved by using a different order, it's possible to have three or more five number matches in 808 drawings. It's no different than saying it's possible to pick a group of 28 numbers and get 5 or more five number matches in 39 drawings and proving that it can be done.... [ More ]

I don't know what you're comparing because Ronnie has used several different bonus numbers just in the last year. Your statistics are apparently based on playing the bonus number 3 every drawing for the game history and Ronnie just changed to that number Tuesday because the bonus number 8 he had played for a few drawings, hit last Friday.

You saw what I got for that. I wrote several backtests of Pick-3 systems and received thanks from only one member, Rick G. The wheel is designed to get a two number match, but it has a discrepancy with the number distribution. It's almost like a key wheel because 2 numbers appear six times, 8 numbers appear five times, 4 numbers four times, and the other 35 numbers three times. Depending on how many hits the latest 4 + drawings are averaging, you could place those 21 numbers into the number positions that appear most in the wheel. That's great! Maybe RJOh will be good enough to tweak one of his many backtest programs to see how these 45 lines did on all draws since the last matrix change. (And if he's in a really good mood, he could then easily see how my 45 lines did as well.)
