That's probably where I'd go with that as well. I think they know how to work out how much the taxes on your winnings would be on the spot. For example, New York Lottery used to have a scratcher many years ago called Tax-Free Million; because the tax code doesn't allow for an actual tax-free million, the top prize was supposedly an amount that would work out to a million bucks after taxes were taken out. Coin Toss had a good idea for a follow-up to my last poll. Let's assume that all lotteries already allow you to remain anonymous when collecting your winnings, even for multi-million dollar jackpots. However, as an incentive to subject yourself to the sort of publicity that the lotteries prefer, they're willing to offer you more money on top of the amount you've already won. Would you go for it, or would you be content to stay in the shadows with your advertised winnings
