I read the reviews....but the book still has a decent rating (sales rank) on amazon. It does not make it a good book but it is doing reasonably well. Bad books can do well. His reputation for winning is selling it. Sometimes bad reviews can cause sales also. I know an artist who got a horrendeous review in major newpaper on his show....it resulted in people lining up for blocks to see it.

If it is paperback and he is charging that much, that means it is self published likely and he keeps allof the profits (vs a publisher taking most of it and paying the author a percentage).
