Cupcake but what if someone's 6 numbers show in Lotto they've been playing for years. You wouldnt want to experience that deal let me tell ya! Thats already happened to me. Not a good place to be in life.

So the best thing to do if someone really wants to curb down thier appitite and see how long they can go without playing is at least play your one or two regular sets of numbers in advance for a month. That way those sets are in each drawing so you can relax and get on with life and then not... [ More ]

OMG One time recently I decided not to play and 4 of my numbers that I play every drawing came up. I thought now isn't that just how life goes. lol When I dont play they come up! Such is life! Makes me laugh sometimes how interesting life can be. Im just glad all 6 of them didnt show, I can live with 4 of them showing and I missed it but that would have sucked to not play one night and all 6 of your numbers come up. O boy! I wouldnt want anyone to go through that deal!

Strikes are not the answer...just ask the good former employees of Hostess! With the lottery, if demand is not sufficient, the next jackpot amount might be the same or just slightly higher like Illinois Lotto typically increases by $250K per rollover but lately has only increased by $150K. Ditto for Mega Millions. The show will go on. Someone will win. You are just guaranteed to have ZERO chance at winning if you do not play.

I have actually bounced the idea around of taking a year's lottery budget and playing it all on one drawing ... after, of course, developing a number wheel that I know would produce lots of small wins ... and hopefully the big one!!!

Went over 15 years when I moved to a state without it. Which was on purpose to stop the potential addiction, but with maturity comes responsibility. Which is why I vary rarely spend more that a dollar on tickets now.

....personally I have a set amount/budget for gambling do or die.On the rarest of occasion may exceed it on a paid weekend if I like the backtest on something.

I can't imagine life without a small wager anymore.When I get digusted from not hitting P3 for a loooong time,I counteract and just relocate the budget to a few quick picks for PB or the local cash5.

Unil the next hobby I obsess over happens,I couldn't imagine not playing anything daily for multiple days.

I could never understand the thinking of the people that only play when the jackpots are absurdly high (PB MM). If it is worth a dollar to play for a $100,000,000, why is it not worth a dollar to play for $1,000,000 (or whatever the current minimum is ... since that is not my game)? Most average people could probably retire on 1-3 million if they wanted to ... unless they're wasteful and can't manage their money.

I'm really surprise that most feel like they must play. If we continue to play nothing will ever change. Think about it. How do people get anything to change? By going on strike. We should all go on strike for 30 days and demand more winnings with better odds. One person alone can not do it, we need millions to stand up for this.

I take breaks on occasion (for as long as a few weeks) and I feel it makes my choices better when I return. Sometimes it is more due to being too busy for that week and not feeling I had time to pick my own numbers... and I usually regret Qps.

I have taken occasional month breaks and more often breaks of 1-2 weeks.

I spend $8 a month on lottery so I take the breaks more for a vacation from the game than anything. It's always an odd feeling knowing the draws you usually care about don't mean a thing.

But seriously, I wouldn't buy tickets in anything with a jackpot less than 16 million (in Canada, tax-free, no annuity), unless there are bonus things going

I agree. I also play anywhere from 5-10 lines on Pick 5 twice a week even though my program version for Pick 5 has only 8 filters and it is not finished. Still, can't resist.
