Unfortunately, I also have a friend that spends bill money on gambling and drinking ... more casinos, not so much lottery. There have been several of us friends and his family that have tried to talk some sence in him many many times. He doesn't want to listen ... and just doesn't get it. Even after basically losing everything, he managed to somewhat recover from that (except for his now incredibly poor credit), but is once again on the downward spiral. He used to claim to be a lottery employee when he was here too.

I think one of his aliases here was lotteryworker or something like that.

That's what I thought, I read a thread on Reddit, there was a lottery employee there answering questions

and he said $10 are good and don't waste your time on $1 scratch tickets.

Help your friend out Pick4ologist, tell her don't buy that $20 scratch ticket and use it toward her bills

she has to pay. Many gamblers have played with money that should have gone to elsewhere.

Guys, dont judge, I would recommend. I did something crazy like that in my life, not exactly the same situation, but others would call stupid and crazy. It was out of desperation, depression and hopelessnes. Was not able to control myself, just couldnt. Childhood beliefs and all kind of stuff brought me to wrong desicions.. But I get over it and learned from mistakes.

Had a friend instead of paying her rent. She went out and bought some scratch offs. Some cash 4 tickets. Some cash 3 tickets. Some fantasy 5 tickets. And some Keno tickets..... She spent $400. And won only $25. She has no strategy about herself. She plays tag numbers birthdays and addresses. Now she calling me to see if I know any pawn shops open she has no money to pay her bills. She also ask me should she buy 1 last 20$ scratch off.......
