I can't really make any more Batchgeo maps. Google severely limited the free geocoding API just recently, so anything over 200 rows/points is not going to fly.

But I did make another mapping option a while ago, a KMZ file you can view directly at its location on GDrive, or you can download and view in Google Earth. You don't get the clustering feature and thematic like the Batchgeo maps, but at least you can see all retailers in CA with $600 prizes for 2012 all at once. This represents about... [ More ]

I didn't see one for CT, but yeah, the NY map of winners is there. Are they the only state that has this Winners Atlas? They are always on the forefront, so I wouldn't be surprised.

It didn't seem like it wanted to display multiple wins per store, and not showing multiple games when you select long periods of time. But hey, at least they took the leap of providing a ongoing updated map of all winners. Most other states, if they even show scratch winners at all, it is just a list, or a few sel... [ More ]

It wasn't anything sophisticated like an area select, just the stores with Los Angeles in the city name. So that's just the city of Los Angeles itself, and most of the 900xx zip codes.

I didn't see anything in Stevenson Ranch, but there was a small amount in adjacent Santa Clarita. So I just mapped all the 913xx zip codes, which runs from Magic Mountain, down through western portion of the San Fernando Valley and out to Thousand Oaks:

http://batchgeo.com/map/76069523a49599cbbcbe372e5fea386... [ More ]

Below is an interactive map of Scratch Ticket Winners during 2012 for California, showing all retailers with top prizes 5 figures and higher. (there's too much data to map it all at once) This represents about 1/20th of all retailers in the state, the lucky few stores with any significant top prizes in a given year.

Following that is a map just of Los Angeles area, showing stores that have any prizes above $600 for the year 2012. Overall, only about half the retailers will see any large prize... [ More ]
