When using historical count of winners per state, you have to remember that most states weren't even in this game until a couple of years ago.

Every state have dummies and all of them aren't lottery players, however if the smarter people don't play the lotteries it could give the appearance of lottery players being dumber than the average person.

i used to think Indiana started the games then let others join in but not really sure, Greed i supposed: have you thought about maybe how many people are in each state may make a difference or how many buy tickets i don't know just throwing ideas out here.

Helpmewin - your point is well taken, but when was the last time any Player in those States won the big one? On the otherhand...

Since 2003, Pennsylvania state has sold the most winning powerball jackpot tickets.

There were 12 jackpot tickets sold in Pennsylvania.

After that Indiana has sold 9 jackpot tickets.

For instance- when was the last time we had a MM or PB jackpot winner from Texas, Nebraska or say Oregon.Does this imply those players are dumb when it comes to picking winners?
