I would work off your method like this narrow down your 1st position to above or below 5 or a hi or low teen number.

And set your 5th position to be either a odd or even digit?

With the sum, I would say pick a sum that has not been chosen yet, that is easy to find out with a smart pone app.

I could post 50 sets of numbers (like most people) and hardly hit anything (like most people). I could also post 24 numbers out of the 59, and hope for the best (like most people).
