Maybe its a good idea? No one ever intends on giving millions as a birthday gift. Lets say anything under $600. they can just cash it. Over $600. they have to give the ticket back.

I don't feel lucky enough to sign fresh tickets. And yet I still buy them every other day lol. I do put them in a secure place that I sometimes forget lol lol

I only sign when its over $300.00 . I stand 6'2 250 lbs,wolverinesh- and l seriously doubt some clerk who is 145 lbs soaking wet is gonna try screw me out of my money- signed ticket or not.

The ticket doesn't need a legal signature. You can print your name on it with butterscotch if you want to. What matters is identifying the ticket as yours. Your actual signature may be best, but even if it just says John Smith in machine lettering it will at least make it very difficult for anybody who isn't named John Smith to cash it.

When I played scratchers for the very first time, I used to signed them whenever I redeem the tickets but now I never sign anything. I would only sign if it requires me to mail or drop the ticket at the lottery office.

I can't remember the last time I've signed my name on the back of a lottery ticket. Most times I don't win anything and other times when I win, the amounts are less then $50, so I cash them in at the store without signing them.

Since I always check my tickets before cashing them in, I only sign the ones that are worth more than $25. I doubt if anyone would try to cheat me out any lesser amounts.
