Yes, this would be a great addition. Or let us change our rating if a mistake is made.

I just made a mistake in a rating (wanted to give a 5 but hit 1)...

I feel some people also just want to make other people feel comfortable. Others like lonely money, however jovial and wise in their ratings can also be mischevious and mercurial. (not to mention malevolent)

The Webmaster is the fuhrer.

I feel that some people want a 5-star rating for writing stuff that makes experienced players and highly educated people unhappy.

On the other side, some people want to give a low rating to good intelligent and well presented stuff.

Finally the webmaster deletes fair answers and critical comments with mathematical foundation.

It probably wouldn't be much trouble to add a Are you sure you want to rate this post? remark that had to be answered Yes before accepting the rating.

Yeah, but I was asking for a way to undo that. It is kind of confusing to have the same graphic of 5 stars function differently at the list of topics than it does from within a topic. I usually log out frequently to prevent inadvertent clicks.

I guess my brain is just trained to places like Netflix, where you have the same 5 stars and you can change your 5 star rating anywhere or clear your rating if needed. And I'm not really interested in seeing *who* rated, but how many and of which type.... [ More ]

If you click on the ratings stars while you are still on the scroll before you enter the thread you can see who has already rated the topic and what rating they gave without actually casting your own vote.

No way to change it, but it happens a lot and everyone understands. When it happens on purpose the rater usually finds a way to make it very clear that they are unhappy, mad, disgruntled, or whatever.

Sometimes, I click on a thread to see who rated it, but in doing so, inadvertently rate it at the location I clicked on it, but that was not the intention. Any way of making it possible to undo or change that
