I have no problem with letting someone go ahead of me to buy lottery tickets but I draw the line at giving them the money to buy them too.

I have story regarding this post. I was on a vacation in an island few years ago and was driving alone at night in a remote jungle area when suddenly one of the tires blew up. Heck NO!!!! I remember reading on here I thnk it was last year during the Mega Million big jackpot and the LP member gave the panhnadler $2 for food I believe(correct me if I'm wrong) and they bought a lottery ticket instead. I will try to find the thread.

No not that it has to do with judging of character.... it's the fact that someone asking to throw your money away on something they dont have themselves to waste on but they'll waste yours...it's like going to Vegas with no money yourself but asking perfect strangers for money so you can try your luck in the big sin city LOL....You gave a guy $20 buck to fix his bike, but would you ever give money again if you found out it was a ruse he used to get money for drugs or alchohol....also him helping... Really b2b, you must not be a very good judge of character if you don't think anybody would give $5 bucks away for playing the lottery. I wish someone would ask me for $5. bucks to play the lottery, because I would be thinking this person may just be feeling hot enough to win at that moment. lol. lol.

Never. I don't ever give money to panhandlers, precisely because it might go straight to liquor or lottery tickets.

I give to charities, and have provided people food sometimes, but never money. Being homeless or jobless is one thing, but peddling for money on the street, without providing any work or entertainment, that just makes you a bum.

LOL i dont believe anybody would hand over money if the knew the real reason the panhandlers wanted it...especially if they wanted to waste your money to play the lottery...LOL that's what we waste our hard earned money on....If they won would I seek them out? Something else to think about- What if they Won? Would you seek them out
