It's always possible a highly played combination will be drawn and produce multiple winners like when the fortune cookie numbers were drawn. What you're suggesting would be unfair to the players who built the jackpot with only one chance to win in each drawing before the magic number was reached. That could also create a scenario with a enough jackpot winning tickets where the secondary prize might pay more.

I love liberalism! I am not a fan of El Gordo, the mondo Spanish lottery that tops billion dollars but in which most people only win a few hundred thousand. I imagine the folks who say, Congratulations latest jackpot winner are those who stick to their game plan and only buy a sensible number of tickets for the drawing. And no sensible person would say they are happy the jackpot got hit unless that person has the winning ticket.

Indeed, I like seeing big numbers on the Jackpot total and almost do wish I an no one else hits it to see it rise yet agian,going by the last two trends shouldnt the jackpot be in the 500million range next? Sure at first it will say its 390 then it be 425...then finaly 550 for the drawing.

But.... ofcourse obvious answer I'd love to win it now if it were to be that way.
