Nope! I certainly wouldn't complain! In fact, I like the smaller jackpots. I think the big ones get you way too much publicity and would bring out some nasty parasites and leeches.

$10 million cash option, after taxes, what's that? $4 million? Sounds like plenty to me.

Nope, my enthusiasm is still there. Even if a huge Jackpot was just won, because you know it's gonna start all over at 40 Mil for the Powerball and 10 Mil for MM and that's still a big chunk of change if you hit either jackpot. I mean seriously, would you complain about hitting 10 million? Come on now, haha.

I think my big change was I was playing five lines, now will keep it down to one per draw on PB. And that darn 26 needs to come back up, and the 12 over due.

I seldom played PB before they increased the ticket price, but the cash value and the second prize justifies playing every drawing. Just a week after the $449 million jackpot was won the cash value is almost $29 million. There were five jackpots over $300 this year so even us jackpot hunters are playing PB more. Yea it sucks to lose. The real problem is I actually thought I had a chance of winning...smh I know they say you play for fun but it's just not fun anymore and with mega changing its odds from impossible to you gotta be crazy to play this game I'm guess ill have to find some other way to blow my ten bucks a week.

I'm content with MM the way it is now.

I don't see the need for MM to get in a pissing contest with PB about jackpot size and further erode the already almost impossible chance I had of winning it.

Anyone who thinks without and doubt that they are going to win a record, or near record, or any jackpot and loses their enthusiasm when they don't win it shouldn't be playing in the first place.

That's what drives me bonkers about Mega Millions... $12M starting point and turtle speed growth to get to a point where I'm ready to be back in the game.

Don't get me wrong, $12M isn't anything to slouch at either... but this is supposed to be a super sized game (MEGA is its name ) and lately it's been nothing of the sort.

$12M starting and the best it can climb for the next draw is $1M... really?... c'mon mann...

Granted, it still holds the record... but PB beats it hands down IMO on... [ More ]

Mine was when they went to 2 dollars a line On PB. And they seem to let it get up so high. And the odds of NJ winning so frequently even if every one in NJ bought 50 tickets were almost zero kind of dampen the whole thing. Now that being said I have to admit I will be playing a one line long shot numbers for tonight. And since it was just won it makes it even a longer shot.
