I wouldn't post the acutal winning ticket, since it has the sercuity numbers and barcode on it. That would be stupid. But I would let the forum know when I'm about to cash in the ticket. And I'm pretty sure my name would make it back here in the news section.

After I claimed my winnings, my name would be public record. I don't think the few LP members that *might* bug me about wanting part of my winnings would add all that much of a percentage to the number of other people I'm sure would be bugging me. second,anyone who would beg for money woud have to be the biggest as$hole in the whole world.That is pretty self centered of someone to think their needs should trump that of the JP winner?...did it ever occur to a beggar prior to the win that a winner may already be indebt???..or may haven't traveled much in their life?..or they have a large family to take care of

I'm torn on this question. Most likely I would keep it to myself. First off I wouldn't want to make anyone to feel bad if they continue to play and have losses. On the other hand it would be great to know that someone from this site won that amount. The one negative thing about a huge lottery win is the fact that in my state I can't be anonymous. Yes, I don't think a member winning $1m prize would cause their inbox to be flooded.

You'd get a lot of congrats ect..but no crazy private messages.

The way some members post, they act like $1m is nothing anymore.

I still think it's a lot of money, even after the taxes are taken out.

$1m or even $2m yes, I'd share my good news.

Now a jackpot win I don't know...

Its been my observation since l joined LP that there are no parasites in this forum that l have bumped into who have displayed a tendency to ask for money from other members. If one won- l doubt their habits would change whether one told them or not, it would not make any significant difference in my opinion in telling others, although l could be wrong.

Yes I would tell the folks here at LP that I won. I would post my winning ticket....after I've already claimed my prize and the statute of limitations has run out (whether it be a year or whatever). Nobody here knows my real name or what I look like, so what do I care. Plus I never check my inbox, so they can send all the messages they want....I'll never read them.
