If I had $1,200 I would not spend it on one draw. I don't care what the odds say.

When you select numbers for a draw, there will be days were you are on or close..and days where you are totally wrong.

At the most, I would spend $100 per draw.

If we are talking quick picks, I would apply a different strategy.

I don't quite get this. You intended to purchase 1200 tickets. Some lady says you can only buy 10. WHAT?? What kind of place is that? They have a limit on how many tickets to buy? Never heard of such a thing. Guess you really weren't intending to buy that many tickets in the first place. Because you could have easily gone to other outlets to purchase more tickets.

There's a difference between 500 tickets and 500 lines. Before PB came to Ohio I once brought 500 QP(100 tickets) for some former co-workers in Indiana and it only took about ten minutes. I would think it might take a little longer to run 100 play slips.

I guess it depends on if the clerk can enter 1200 times because there will be interruptions. Murphy's law applies and an empty store will suddenly become full with everyone one of them wanting lottery tickets.

Your chances are slightly better than my $5 dollars that i purchased yesterday in tix. Only because you will definitely hit the mega ball probably a few times. Otherwise everyone else on Lottery Post is just as much in the running.

It would be wise to pool your money with someone else willing to contribute a decent amount. You want to improve your odds.

Logistically, you CANNOT buy 2.5 million tickets. So you better do it with a pool of 13 numbers and one BONKO number.

You would have BETTER odds to do 600 tickets this draw, and P.I.A. the SAME 600 lines the next draw.

That would IMPROVE YOUR ODDS.

When the lottery first came to Ky. years ago , I had a friend that bought 3000 tickets one draw..............another time he bought 5000 and yet another time thirty five hundred

He wrote all the numbers down in a big notebook each time , and when I would drop by his store on Sunday , they would be checking those tickets and it would take them all morning and most the afternoon

A good case can be made for either playing method.

If you're playing to win the jackpot, you'll get twice as many chances by not using Megaplier. On the other hand, under the old matrix 1200 tickets would get you about 30 winning tickets and the new matrix gives about 80 winners which means using the Megaplier still gives you ten more wins on 600 tickets than you got on 1200 before.

While you will have more chances them most individuals buying tickets, you won't have more chances than the many communities of players that have been playing lotteries for years and never had a jackpot winner.

I usually buy $10-$20 worth of tickets when playing for such a large jackpot and according to the sign out side the carry-out where I buy my tickets they sell over $20,000 worth of lottery tickets every week and they are just one of 25 such places in my small town.
