Before PowerBall and BigGame were available in neighboring states Ohio's SuperLotto (6/49+1) was just as popular and had players from all the surrounding states coming to Ohio to play it. Jackpots of $20M-$70M were won often two or more times a month. If Canada's 6/49 game had games like PB or MM as competition it would suffer the same fate as Ohio's Classic Lotto (6/49).

Well, it is a national lottery.... must be people from every Canadian Province playing it and I suspect that players from U.S. border states are in on the action. If I lived in Detroit or Buffalo, I'd be playing it.

That is interesting. I remember Ohio's Pick 6/49 game went 70 some draws without a winner. Same odds.

Apparently a lot more people play Canada's 6/49 to have winners every draw.

I don't know how many follow the Lotto 6/49 game out of Canada. It gets hit just about every drawing ... they must have a tremendous amount of tickets played with almost total coverage for every drawing.

The starting jackpot is $5 million ... now sometimes it carries over for a few drawings. I'm posting the results since Feb 14, 2015 ... it was hit that night for $13,888,226.10 with one ticket.
