Eventually, is the key word here. It seem that easy. In reality any Adult, entertainment the people really like, the elected officials will let it get started here , then go searching for some old laws to stop from happening. Something like this wouldn't have concern me either in the past. I move here from a state at had it all. The way you,re talking, would I be correct that you got your first lottery ticket at the Ill. state line. lol

The people of Alabama aren't delusional. We don't believe a lottery started here will solve Alabama's General Fund budget problems in it's totality. 80% of the people want the lottery. We want to see some percentage of this new revenue, specifically earmark for improvement in educational system here.

Having a state lottery is not a right it is a choice. If the majority of the people in the state want a lottery they will eventually get it. They vote for their elected state officials.

Personally, I only care what happens in my state and not in Alabama, Nevada, Mississippi or any other state. The first lottery I ever played I had to get tickets in a neighboring state.

I agree with Gov.Bentley, a lottery won't solve Alabama's General Fund budget problems . However, the additional revenue raised would be very helpful.

Alabamians spend millions on other state lotteries, why not capture that revenue by having an Alabama State Lottery?
