The way I figure number of tickets sold in CA for MM would be to take the total number of Mega only winners and multiply it by 14 (the remaining number MBs). Likewise for PB, multiply the PB only tickets and multiply by 25.

Another way of stating this: MB only hits account for 6.6% of total tix sold and PB only hits account for 3.8% of total tix sold.

These figures would be slightly less because of other winners up the tier. But, maybe not, because some of the tiers aren't MB/PB hits.... [ More ]

I am sure that someone at each lottery monitors these sites. So Hey how about it California. Where is the data. And while your at it how about a count of all of the numbers picked too. Ha! Ha! Ha

You have a good point about number of winners vs the tickets is consistent. Question, could a Calie residence obtain this information

by simply asking someone with some authority from CA lottery office your question. Maby go to their office and start asking in person or write a

certified letter asking your question! You could go as far with filing a FREEDOM of Information. Depends on the time you have to put into project

how bad you want the answer? Would be interesting reading

Interesting. I was just looking at the Last few payouts for CA Daily3 Midday. The payout for Box ranges from $60.00 to $146. The State gives us the number of winning tickets but not the number of tickets sold. It would be interesting to see if the number of winners vs the tickets is consistent. If not then I would say there is definite manipulation going on behind the veil.

CA says that Super Lotto Plus is drawn balls, yet draw videos are no longer available. If I don't see video, it didn't happen.

But, what's to say MM or PB draw videos aren't re-shot till they draw a sequence with minimal winners? There's a 30-minute window between the close of the draw and the results being posted. More than enough time for them to settle on the draw they like.
