I've never seen it that low before even when it is round one after a win. 97k is an embarrassment -- and embarrassment I wouldnt turn down but still...

Sales were $2,055,362 and the matching five numbers prize is based on the percentage deducted from the total for that prize. The $1.8 million prize was result of rollovers. Because the payoffs are pari-mutual, the timing is very important even though there is nothing players can to do about it.

The winning 5/5 jackpot before this was 1.8 million which did make buying a ticket more attractive. But, yes, it really stinks.

Wow, that atrocious. For 1 in 11M odds at just a $97k prize for 5 out of 5. All that is going to do is reinforce the belief that PB is not worth playing in California. Florida is also experiencing a slowdown in PB sales. But our payouts are not pari-mutual. Therefore, 5 out of 5 still gets you $1M.

The 5/5 jackpot in Calif is based on sales and was really low last night -- less than 100k.
