Lottoreport shows sales of $1,270,206,274, which would be 635,103,137 tickets. A single winner was almost as likely as the most probable result of 2 winners. The actual result of 3 winners was only a bit less likely than 1 or 2 winners. Although it didn't happen, there was a 1 in 9 chance that we'd be reading about a $2 billion advertised jackpot right now.

Most of the time lotteries hide the amount of tickets sold, like a shop keeper is not publishing for how much he sold.

If they publish losers and winners, we can calculate but they prefer to keep us dumb. You might find out that you actually pay dearly for a tiny chance.

In the USA, your uncle Sam takes a big part of the cash, other parties are the lotteries, shops ... or IT's selling tickets. You name it.

I am just wondering how many tickets were sold by powerball because I am sorry...1.5 billion dollars with the amount of sales they were talking about..like people standing in line for 3-4 hours...there should have been more than 3 winners as for as I am concerned.....

Also how many winners of 5 white balls but missed the powerball...
