You can be good at picking numbers, but might not win.

Luck has everything to do win winning. Being at the right place at the right time and getting a ticket that doesn't end up in a pile with all the other non-winning (notice I didn't say LOOSING) tickets.

What makes the difference is destiny and fate! How many times have you read the stories about the people that won the jackpot? Many of them read the same way....I stopped in for gas and saw the jackpot was high, so I bought a ticket....... [ More ]

I'd rather be lucky, since it's the only thing that could help me win more than the pitiful amount allowed by normal probability. OTOH, I might choose good if it was a real thing and not just a delusion. I say might because even of you could actually improve your odds by 50% it doesn't really help. All that would do is reduce your losses a bit.

I have won more with my own numbers for smaller games. More with QP's for higher games. But I don't really care how I win so as long as I do win. Doing my own numbers is more fun, and I like to do QP's as well to compare. But regardless it cold all come down to luck anyway. There is no way to tell for sure. I won more on hunches and playing random numbers. Won the Big 4 3 times picking my own random numbers and one ticket for a $1.00 each paying $2600. Won one QP also for $100 boxed.

I wish a win was because i was good...but the randomness of luck is about as random as lottery drawings. I wish i could say a system improved my odds or even intuition, but i have very little faith that either of those will led me to a win....but it sure makes it more fun and entertaining playing numbers you put a lot of thought into though.

It all comes down to luck IMO...that's just my two cents.

The gambling industry considers the only two things that can be beat consistently are poker and sports betting. In poker the players are playing against each other and in sports betting it takes a 52.6 win % to break even, because of the vig.

Granted in the lottery (jackpot games) it only takes one win but there are very few people who achieve that.

Any discussion of any form of gambling that doesn't include the Luck Factor is really lacking something.

I'm surprised that two people picked lucky . I'd rather learn how to win so I may be able to replicate it just by sheer trial and error.

You can't be a juggler by luck. It takes 9 months to add another item in your juggling routine. Yes that's right, nine months for every ADDITIONAL item you add. Whoa

I can understand both arguments. Those that value working hard at something, and seeing their hard work pay off would choose Good. On the flip side, why work hard when you can be Lucky ! Me? I'd rather be lucky. Working hard takes up too much time. Time that we can't get back
