Sorry, I am not familiar with Java. I am also obviously confused. I thought that v-track was really about adding 5 (V) to the numbers to get their mirror value. And v-track was a way to place them in a group from 1-5. Seams like the numbers in the groups could be different; but analyzed the same way. Heck why not do groups based on adding 1,2,3,4 also. Maybe after testing one would show it' self to be the best of the bunch

It isn't v-track as you cannot replace the digit anymore.

You propose to overlap the groups.

Keep out the sums and define the digit.

(0,5,?)

(1,6,?)

...

(4,9,?)

If you are still with pen and paper.

This is balanced:

0:012

1:234

2:456

3:678

4:890

It would be better, but isn't v-track.

A tri-track:

0:012

1:345

2:678

3:9

Problem with 3 as the rest is 1.

To improve v-track, change to groups of 2 digits and dump v-track:

0:01

1:12

2:23

...

.:90

If you think of V Track as Adding 5 to a Number and then eliminating the 1 (first digit in the 2 digit sums), You can then change the add number to say 3. Then you have a 3 Track or III Track is you wish.

Has anyone else looked at it this way and tried to use it? Just wondering if there is any advice on weather to pursue it

Vtracs twist my brain too -- that's why I use Base 5 numbers (aka Mirrors) instead!

0=0,5

1=1,6

2=2,7

3=3,8

4=4,9

Performs the same as Vtracs, but without that extra step of adding or subtracting the 1 .

Normally, I say the more filters the better. There is something about v-tracks that twist my brain and puts me off my game. It's like making a right handed person do everything lefty.

They're like an extra distraction from my normal filters.

Seems as if we always miss the normal rhythm of the other filters when playing around with them.

Again, the more filters the better, because most of them remain calm and just average most of the time. The more abnormal alerts the better!
