Odds are talking about the chances of 1 occurrence of an event happening versus the chances of some other, mutually exclusive event, happening. Mutually exclusive means there is 0 chance that both of the events happen at the same time.

Ok Amber, I think we will have to agree to disagree on this. Call them what you will but they each have a dictionary definition that explains what they mean. By definition, they are different ways of explaining the chances that a certain thing happens versus the chances that it doesn't.

yeah that's probably a little more than 10,000 draws. Probably not enough time to really show much. And definitely not very useful for anything we are doing here.

I don't think we are thinking about probability and odds much differently, but you are using probability of events that happen much more often, so they become more useful on the smaller scales you are talking about.

Not true. Odds are FACTS, such as Templates, they don't change for long periods of times. Probabilities on the other hand can change depending on the situation at the time of the event. The outcome can be influenced a BILLION different ways. Altering outcomes is an art.

Recent history showed it by comparing. No, that doesn't happen often. Doesn't happen in other states. I didn't base it on odds.

I based it on the probability of what I was seeing. I was right. Would I be right next time? Only time would tell.

That's why I think probability and odds as you see it is not exactly as I see it.

And FL pick 3 goes back to 1988. Far enough? I think that's fairly close to 10... [ More ]

Well just to be clear about the odds I was talking about, those numbers were in regards to seeing any pair repeat over 4 draws. If you were tracking a particular pair, the odds would be much lower. Also, I was including both mid and eve draws not just one or the other in talking about the time frames for expectations.

If you are just looking at eve draws, you would have to go back much further than January. It would happen on average every 463 draws. Going back to January would only be 80 som... [ More ]

Check the history of FL draws. MID has a history of the 0 repeating just like that. EVE had a skip of like 14 or 15 draws with no 0's. Then hit and miss. Was due repeats. That's what I talk about with probability. Odd's..... Whatever you want to call it.

Check EVE history all the way back to Jan.

And, yes. I think they will fall tomorrow. Still.

Is the repeat you are talking about the 0-2 pair over 4 draws? That kind of thing probably doesn't happen that often:

I think once the 2-2-0 drew, the chances that the next 3 draws would have a 2-0 somewhere would be .0216%. So its not happening very often that's for sure. Odds are about 1:462. so at two draws per day over time about every 7 or 8 months average.

I don't pay attention to odds all that much. More probability. I have watched digits and learned. Just when you think odds will do one thing, it does something else. Probability may not be spot on, but does happen.

Hey! There's one that even a slow guy like me can follow!! :)

predicting 3 potential numbers falling in any position runs these expected chances over two draws:

30% chance of getting one of those three for each position.

65.7% chance of getting at least one of those three in at least one of the 3 positions per draw.

88.24% chance of getting at least one of those three somewhere in some position over 2 draws.

You are right, pretty close to a no brainer.

Did you catch that the list he started with is what hadn't drawn in 45 days. Did you figure out what he was doing with inspector 3 ?

Do you use deflate3?

Other people have taken some of what he has done in the past and sold it commercially. Another reason he makes it a little more difficult so it can't be paste and copied elsewhere.

DE is in similar pattern as PA.

After absence of all odd even VT, Del got all even 118 SS 0, followed by all odd back to back 500 (SS 5). Then as we discussed a long time ago, after all odd VT has been drawn EEO VT showed up last eve (382). So that leaves SS 2 7.

I am looking for SS 2 5 and EEO VT in PA today, after getting hit with 3 all odd VT in a row. Actually that 382 look good, I've been eyeballing 238 for the last few days.
