About 70% of people buy quick pick tickets.

That's the reason most people that win win with quick picks.

Not because quick picks are luckier than self picks.

Wouldn't it be wiser to buy the tickets after people pay and not before? This way you don't get stuck with extra tickets that aren't paid for.

I usually buy MM or PB on the day of the draw before the drawing closes. It has to be a quick pick because that's where it usually the jackpot is usually won.

We do an office pool. When I have players that pay after I've bought tickets I buy quick picks with those funds closer to the deadline with better luck this way for some reason.

The best time is to watch some of the decent players who try to figure out the numbers in the challenges for either or mega millions or powerball. It all depends which players are hot.

Tonights drawing I should have payed more close attention to a few players.

I sense someone on this site will hit a huge jackpot. Then again I don't play too often.

By the way what state do you live in? I would buy the MM just before the 7:45 PM closure on Tuesdays and Fridays draw and PB just before the 7 PM closure on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Their draws start at 8 PM on those days.

Do not procrastinate. When the jackpot is high like at the $350 million mark or higher then beat the crowds and buy early before there is a line. Why wait in an hour long line when you could have purchased your ticket in a shorter line.

The best time to buy is when the advertised jackpot is in the $350 to $550 million dollar range. The tickets will cost the same as when the jackpot is smaller, the odds will be the same as when the jackpot is smaller, and if you happen to win there's still a fairly good chance you won't be sharing with anyone else.

I buy tickets for MM or lotto the day of the draw. Some say they buy asap. Has anyone noticed a difference in wins when buying tickets especially QP's
