If this happens you can go back to the store and have them cash them out. If you scan them on the same store they were purchased they will activate. Else you can call the store and have them activate the roll and cash them somewhere else. No big deal you just have to wait a few days until they are activated.

That's happened to me before, and most likely means you bought tickets on a roll that has not yet been activated for sale. Take it to the place you bought them, and tell them the roll has not been activated. If that isn't possible, ,contact your lottery helpline.

Help! I purchased a couple instant tickets on Friday. Today I scratch them and find out I am a winner but when I scan it I receive message that the ticket is not active!! Is there a remedy for this? I am so worried I will not get my winning because the clerk did not activate my ticket.
