NOTA BENE:

John Glenn, the former astronaut and U.S. senator who became the first American to orbit the earth, will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery

All other funeral activities will take place in Columbus, Ohio. It appeared there was an initial plan for the late senator to lie in state or honor in the Capitol Rotunda

R.I.P. American Hero as we all soared so high with him!

I watched his last flight from the beach. In his initial flight saw the launch from Orland AFB, everyone was outside the bldg. It made me proud of our astronauts. I was on a trip to Edwards AFB, in 1964 with a person whose son became an astronaut. I still talk with him on FB.

Former Astronaut Hero, Senator John Glenn passes @ 95 in Ohio

John Glenn, who became one of the 20th century s greatest historical heroes as the first American to orbit Earth, in addition to a long career as a U.S. senator, died on Thursday.
