It depends since it grows each draw. Usually about 100-200k a game. While it can exceed $1 million it is usually won before it does. Few of the lower prizes below second prize are that great in any of the states. And part of increasing the price of MM from 1 dollar to 2 next October, also involves messing with the lower prizes, too. Do not like at all....

Dam so if I was a Ca resident and I happened to have won the 2nd prize,which is 1 million, I would only see 100k? WOW

Because in California, prize amounts are pari-mutuel. IOW, they will vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. So, when there is a winner, it starts at the bottom which is usually less than $100k. I myself would prefer a guaranteed $1 mil second prize.

Redd55, the reason why it went down that low because two tickets hit the first five numbers in the last draw, but one ticket won the jackpot

And this is why we find it so frustrating. Sure it can pass $1 million but it rarely does.
