where i live now has a really complete online ticket purchase site and phone app. it even bills my CC of my account doesn't have enough cash in it, can set subscriptions, with conditional purchases ie if jackpot is X buy x tickets. but given all that , i am still buying in the store for now, as they have a free ticket promotion when you buy in the store.

Anywhere but in the city in which l live. I also support Mom Pops stores big time. Should l win, l would like them to reap the benefits as well.They are fast disappearing from the American landscape, so what better way for them to ride off into the sunset with me in another direction of course. But you get the point JF.

Good move, and the big chains around me have kiosks which are a pain to use and if there is a problem the employees have no idea how to fix.

I am lucky there are a couple of good local places that cater to the lottery. Even when I go over the border to Delaware its a local place.

When possible, I like to get tickets at mom and pop shops. With a jackpot win the store gets a bonus for selling it. I'd prefer to see the mom and pop get this bonus rather than a huge chain store.

I like to buy my tickets at small quiet convenience stores or gas stations. For me, the less foot traffic the better.

Yea I am thinking the same thing, that its a control thing with the other two lines. Often I get tickets one line at a time, thus seeing the 2 QP lines and adjusting play.

Presumably, they're not based on the 1st line. So QP or not, it shouldn't matter. My hunch is the 2nd and 3rd lines are central computer generated.

On an aside, I suspect the main reason the game (PA Match 6 is very similar) doesn't allow one to choose those additional lines is to ensure a more even number distribution; prevent wheeling and other strategies, such as playing same sequence of numbers for all 3 lines, which could result in larger payouts than expected.

So there are a couple of games which give you QP's with your purchase in Maryland (Multi- Match) Delaware (Multi-Win). Both games do/play the same way

Here is how Maryland describes the game -

There are True RNG devices and some free/paid services which can be used to get some random data(based on whether you need the service for personal or commercial use) and then seed Computer RNGs to get better random numbers. Or directly use the random data as random values to generate numbers.

If you dont want to get your own generator, you can get from trustable existing QP generators. LP's QP is one of my favourite.

From my understanding, lottery terminals in many jurisdictions have their own RNGs, which are often limited in their randomness. Quick-picks are for convenience, and shouldn't be relied on being random.

It's very possible that some types of terminals may generate more random numbers than others. For example, in Pennsylvania, retailer operated terminals (WAVE) verses self-service (PCT) are somewhat different. The differences may extend to the RNG software and its implementation...

This topic has been covered numerous times.

The numbers on all Quick Pick lottery tickets are generated by the lottery terminal that prints out the ticket. They are not generated by a remote server someplace.

Are they equipped with random number generators?

In.that case do they transfer these generated and issued numbers to,central location?Lottery results are announce with particulars about where the tickets were issued.

I buy my lotto at circle k store and at big apple market those two places usually. Sometimes I might change it up when a jackpot gets large and travel to TJ's supperette in a small town 30 minutes from me.-weshar75

Better means nothing. Here in Philly for example 7-11's, wawa, sunoco, deli marts, convenience stores.

There is a sunoco right across from this high school in ne philly that sells many winning tickets.

Some wawas I have heard have had really good winners.

Oh liquor stores galore in NJ would be some places. beer distributors. Right place right time. Nice to meet you.
