Open Office has a BASE function.

The left column A1 thru A999 contains Base 10 numbers. The right column is the result of the BASE function. Press F1 in Open Office and search BASE for more info.

=BASE(A310;9;1)

check out the link below. it gives the code for a udf (user defined function) that will allow you to use any base up to 36.

if you have a newer version of Excel this type of function is already included.
