The first system I used was to simply add up the number of times each pick-3 digit was drawn in the last 6 drawings. The idea is to look for 3 digits that only appeared once or not at all and that was the play. I did some back testing and found there were very few times when there were 3 digits to play and the system totally ignored doubles. The results were similar to what is expected from standard distribution and ordinary cause and effect.

Interesting point. I would have to say it depends of course. But for fun, it would be interesting without any unnecessary criticism. But from the point of view you speak of, sure. I mean I could, but attention span, and then state to state differences. It would be consuming. The wins depend on the player s instincts or thoughts. Most systems overall lose. IMO, most of the systems are primitive types of RNGs and the system makers usually leave it up to the reader to create playable picks using vague instructions. It would be refreshing to see a system maker actually follow their creation for at least a month. But they usually post 50 straight/box pick-3s (good for all states) that if played would results in a tremendous loss.

KY of NYYe know your maths mate.. repeats means more than once.. if the odds are lower u see more of 2+ repeats.. but the ratio uniques/repeats tends to be 63/37.

i generated 3 series of 1000 pick3 sets then i stripped the duplicates in each set.. the results were 640, 629, 635 unique sets.. pretty close to ionsalius paradox.

i did it many more times automatically with special software (goolg OccupancySaliuParadox.exe).. the result was 635 uniques/365 sets not drawn in 1000 trials.

Unique simply means a number that comes up during the 36 spins. With 36 spins you'll get 36 results, but since some will be duplicates there won't be 36 unique numbers. All of the numbers that are drawn are unique because 1 isn't 2 or 3 or 4, etc. which makes 1 one of a kind regardless of how often it comes up. If it comes up 3 times that's 3 results, but only one unique number.

My pick 5 has alot of repeat pairs triples etc. This exhausting amount of verbage and formulas means nothing. Track your game and you will hit the prize. It depends on how precise is good enough. For the number of unique numbers that are most likely when rolling a die 6 times it's plenty close enough, because anything between .59 and .74 will get you the correct answer of 4 when you round to the nearest whole number. By the time you get to a roulette wheel with odds of 1 in 36 it's only good enough if you're happy with an answer that's close, but not correct.

In your book you use 8 draws per round for the CA539 Fantasy 5 game. If a game matrix is 5/30 such as the Pennsylvania Treasure Hunt do we still use the 8 draws per round?

aint normal statistical distribution its called -just goog ion salius paradox.. this place is about lottery so a better question would refer to unique combos in lotto.. if you generate randomly all combs in lotto: 63% are unique 37% are repeats.. but you shouldnt expect exact numbers like in your op.. how bout pick3 there are about 370 repeated sets and around 630 uniques.. there is formula for that when n tends to infinity: DC = 1 (1 / e) the limit is 0.63212 63% is pretty good 4me .
