You are not doing enough trials to make any useful conclusions. With two digits, you need to do 1,000 trials. A good rule of thumb is 10 times the number of possibilities (so, two digits is 100 possibilities, times 10 is 1,000 trials, and you can always do more to get better quality results).

Any time you look at past results, you are going to find a pattern of some type. The larger the matrix, the more past drawings you'll need to look at it, but given a finite numbers of numbers from which to choose (which would be any lottery draw game, of course), you will ALWAYS find a pattern. Technically speaking, random with no qualifier can mean different things (e.g. nonlinear probability distribution). But in the context of a lottery ball drawing, it is uniformly distributed random, meaning every number has the same chance of being picked.

Take double zero roulette for example (numbers 1-36, 0 and 00). Every spot on that wheel has the same chance of getting the ball, 1 in 38.

No, I have not rejected mathematics, per se.

In fact, in my workout one has to be able to count to 16!

You would know this if you took the time to investigate my substitution methods.

I just don't believe that odds, probability, statistics, percentages and similar ideas can win a lottery.

The fact of the matter is that evenly weighted, unbiased, ping pong balls have no memory. They don't choose to be picked or not be picked. They are totally random, independent events. The lottery could do a thousand pre-tests and it still means nothing (other than a big waste of time on their part).

Obviously they think it matters or else they could just use the same ball set all the time, instead of choosing from 4 or 5 different sets. As far as the weight and size, there is a tolerance so there could be a slight variation which could affect how the balls bounce around in the machines. Believe it or not they do test for that at the manufacturers.

Assuming that the balls all weigh the same, pulling out one set of balls and replacing them with another set of balls from which to draw is not going to have any effect on the probability of winning. All it does is waste their time.

The biggest difference between where you play, (Texas) and where every one else plays is that Texas publishes the pre test results and the rest of the states don't. I don't know if they publish them early enough for you to factor them into your picks or not, but unfortunately the rest of us only have the official draws to go by.

Pretty sure that what amber is referring to is how the pre-tests are proven to immediately and uncharacteristically re-enter what would typically not re-occur from one 'clean draw' to the very next one without the inherent tests.

Same here but you've got to realize that when you play.

Once you convert cash into a lottery ticket (or any kind of bet) consider it lost, any thing that comes back is pure gravy.

That's the only attitude you can have when you play otherwise you fall into a trap of spending much more than you intended trying to recover the original loss.

People who say I want my money back have no business playing in the first place.

I agree, the pretests are stupid.

I went to Atlantis Casino in Reno and played live keno. When it's time to do a drawing, they do the drawing. What a concept! The ping pong balls start bouncing around and 20 of them, one at a time, are randomly selected.

I played top/bottom for $5, 4 drawings, and won $75 on one. The $55 net win paid for my lunch and then some.

Was on the way back from furniture shopping yesterday afternoon, saw a little hole-in-the-wall store out in the country. Stopped in and bought 2 - $10 JUMBO Jumbo Bucks scratchers and 2 individual MM QP tickets that I use for the pool I am in. 1st scratcher was a dud. The 2nd scratcher won $25..... soooooooo, I came out a buck a head.. Nothing to write home about... BUT....... At least I didn't lose money
