That's the way I look at it, Music. I know the odds, but I also believe in the power of positive thinking. I like reading what people say they'd do with a win, it tells me a lot about that person.

At least I will be somewhat ready to interview and hire financial advisers. CPAs, CFPs, Trust and Estate Attorney, Insurance agents. I will know what I will be buying.

Most of this will be done before I claim the prize.

There's no harm in wishing or hoping to win a jackpot.

But when that turns into an obsession and detailed planning about what is going to be done with money not yet won and that will probably never be won, then it's different.

Do you remember Friday, March 30, 2012? The Megamillions draw was won by three tickets. The jackpot was worth $656,000,000.00 The winning tickets were in Kansas, Ilinois, and Maryland. The winner in Illinois had to come forward and do the media availability. The other winners remained anonymous.

As for me I just buy one or two tickets with megaplier for mega millions and one or two tickets for powerball with powerplay and hope for the best. Why the lump sum? The bonds that are used for the annuity are not good investments at this time.
