I would visit Cape Horn so I could claim to have been able to see where the Atlantic, Pacific Southern Oceans collide. Next I would go to New Zealand and see first hand the hobbit homes watch a traditional Haka. Finally, I would go to Egypt and see the Pyramids of Giza, Saqqara. Then I would go home.

Haha! Very well put! You know, Abe Lincoln was a circuit lawyer, and he used to frequent my hometown on his circuit. There are landmarks all over this area where he had stayed the night. At my grade school there is a large memorial stone (called the rock ) with a plaque explaining that Lincoln and Douglas had a debate on that spot. Thanks, music*! I used to really be into it, and it's a gratifying hobby. To be honest I've gotten away from it for the past few years (although I still check all of my pocket change for treasures... My favorite wheat pennies are the ones I find in my change, as opposed to the ones I've purchased! lol) I need to get back into the hunt

Yes! I am also a fiend for buffalo nickels, but I've only got a few that I found accidentally. I, too, have thousands of wheats, dozens of unopened mint rolls, and several very nice examples encapsulated besides. I even have several very nice steel pennies from WWII. When I was a kid my grandpa would always root through his pocket change and give me and my brother the wheats. I suppose that is the stem of my fondness for them.

You I are on the same page on the subject of retirement! People always say that they'd keep on going to their old job if they won, I never understood that mentality. When I was in my 20s I calculated a system. Problem was, I couldn't reduce it down to 1 set of numbers. I'd come up with 5 sets, and every time I'd hit all of the numbers right, but the right numbers were scattered over 5 different tickets.

LOL, I hear ya... But that's what financial advisors (and all bean counters) are for. You pay them to worry over your frivolous purchases, that way you don't have to.

I have itemized lists of practical things I would buy if I won the jackpot, but one ridiculous thing I'd buy is: I'd purchase the house I grew up in, and stock it full of 80s memorabilia (like Star Wars collectibles and Atari arcade games.) It would be a true blast from the past... So my question is, and it's probably been beaten to death already on this forum, but what kind of silly non-essential must have purchases would you make
