In a fair game the stats you mention above will remain unchanged or maybe even

move closer to their expected values with a better RNG.

It's the entropy drawing to drawing that's getting better, or worse depending on

which side of the draw were on. Because lottery game number pools are fixed

so are all the other variables. Example, if 10% of the combinations contain some

value, we can expect to see that same value in 10% of the drawings. If we don't

then it suggest there is a pr... [ More ]

lottobrain

Here is what I think based on the results. First let me say that all pseudo random generators

are not equal. It's basically like deciding which engine is needed to power a car. Some need

more HP than others. What we often call random is more simply defined as obfuscation.

The action of making something obscure, unclear, or unintelligible.

Over the last few years as faster computers came on the market and advances in decryption

techniques it seems to me better rng's... [ More ]

Hi RL, It's a little late and I have to get up early for a trip, but I just saw your topic and I wanted clarification on the statement It appears that RNG's have been greatly improved over the last decade. Do you mean greatly improved to make it harder for lotto number pickers to get the right picks . As I understand what you have said, your test seems to prove that we have a better chance getting things right with the ball machines?

Like many of us here, I don't trust the computer RNG's as m... [ More ]

P.S.

The rogue data is a index to base-4 digit system that decreases the field of choices for each

rogue position. Most games require 9 to 12 rogue digits to convert to a single set / line of

of numbers. Each rogue position is ranged 0 to 3 so the algorithm has a 25% chance of picking

the correct value even if selected at random. Running the same test but replacing the algorithm

with a RNG reduced the number of overall hits greatly proving the algorithm did fair better than

wha... [ More ]

Hi all

I recently ran a few test on several different games, some drawn by machine and others using a

RNG. The test consisted of a data mining algorithm designed to produced the best possible choice

based on the games history rogue data. What I found across all the games tested was that the

algorithm produced far better results for machine draws vs RNG's. It appears that RNG's have been

greatly improved over the last decade. The algorithm produced 5x the number of hits for the bal... [ More ]
