I put in 100% with with Lucky Loser; having seen thousands of live ball occurrences in Vegas , my experience has taught me that free falling ball results are different than RNG programming - mainly in number distribution. Of course different machine mechanics will affect the balls and its' not always fair- saw one 20/80 game where only 19 balls ot of 20 fell and no body caught it but that is one of it's inherent beauty of the game - players can eye witness the entire process.

I'll take any ball drop or ball suction-type draw of ANY software-based RNG business. However, in honesty, I've seen some strange things occur even with the mechanical ball draws in terms of combos from one draw to the next official. Still, mechanical draws aren't 'programmed' so to speak and do not have a 'memory' related to what's already been drawn. They do want to have people win. They have to have a certain amount or percentage of winners or else nobody would play. But not so many winners that they operate at a loss. After all, their biggest selling point to get states to have lottery games, is the profit to the state coffers, so the state has money to spend on education or whatever else they deem fit. And it also will have a lot less public resistance than using a tax increase to pay for whatever the state wants.

This still does not mean it is not controlled. It still can be controlled and produce a 50 to 60% profit of revenues paid in prizes. Lets face it, it's a business and businesses are out to make a profit how ever they can. We just have to TRUST that they are not controlling the games and play the games like they are meant to be played and if we can find an edge when we play, Good luck to us.

That would be true for a few games, such as pick 3 and pick 4, but for most games the jackpot just keeps growing until somebody wins. That means that the percentage of revenue that's paid out through the jackpot is determined by the rules of the game rather than how often somebody wins the jackpot. One more thing regarding Ball Drop machines......

It is my understanding that they run so called test runs of the machines before the actual draw.

The question is are these test runs video taped as if they are the real draws and compared to the combinations that have not been purchased. Then when one is found that pays out the least used as the final draw.

If so which method is the better to trust as honest!!!

Anything is possible. News stories of deliberate tampering and oops-a-daisy accidental programming errors are abundant enough, I wouldn't put anything them. If you're paranoid about it, the best strategy is not playing in the first place. You can't lose if you don't play.

And for what it's worth and according to Eddie Tipton, the RNG that draws the winning numbers is not connected to the Lottery data base. Someone has to physically enter the drawing result into their data base and they know exactly how many winning tickets there are.

In the first three steps, you need to substitute the word computer with lottery. The second and third steps applies to all lotteries whether they have ball or computer drawings. The instant the terminal spits out the ticket they have a record of it, the number(s) date, time, game, location etc.

Ever try to buy a number and have the clerk tell you, it's sold out ? The lottery already knows how many tickets were sold with that number. It also stands to reason the lottery knows how many tickets... [ More ]

Lets talk computerized lottery drawings.

1st, the ticket you buy is controlled by a computer.

2nd, The computer has a record of all the tickets that are purchased even if you pick your own numbers.

3rd, the computer knows what combination of numbers have not been purchased.

What prevents the computer of the random number generator from knowing what these numbers are and just using these numbers when it spits out the next draw numbers.

There is no way of telling.
