i had bad habit of not looking at my ticket until I got home and noticed it wasn't what I wanted. I no longer have this problem as I don't play the lottery anymore

Common sense would show I wouldn t play them for evening at 9 am.

Not that there's any argument that helps when you don't get what you wanted and don't do anything about it right away, but common sense says that you'd get tickets for the drawing you want to play at whatever time you happen to go to the store.

Because you asked for your usual numbers instead of using a play slip, why didn't you check them before paying?

All of us that use call bets know it possible that a clerk won't understand and enter the wrong numbers. Now when I play pick-3 or pick-4, I use play slips, but still check the tickets to make it's the numbers, the time of day, and amount on the slip.

is there any recourse I can take?

Other than accepting sincere sympathy, nothing.

Did you check your playslips to see if they were marked for eve ? Or were you too late for the draw and it reverted to the next draw

There is nothing you can do about it now. It is your responsibility to make sure the numbers you received, are the numbers you wanted to play.

Filling out a play slip, eliminates the chances of a clerk entering the wrong number, draw, bet, etc into the machine.

The neighboring State of New Jersey in fine print states that: If no selection is made (i.e. MIDDAY; EVENING; OR BOTH) the purchase will default to the upcoming EVENING DRAWING ! So much for disclaimers by the Lottery Commission.

Sorry you are out of luck. Please check your tickets before you leave the retailer. Therefore the error can be corrected in time.

I went to my lotto retailers this morning at 9am and had asked for my usual numbers. She gave me my tickets, and I left. When I saw my number hit, I went to go cash it in, only to realize that she only played my numbers for evening, not midday.

is there any recourse I can take? Or am I pretty much out of luck? The tickets showed I purchased them in the morning. Common sense would show I wouldn t play them for evening at 9 am.
