There might be people working on similar prediction algorithms, but if you don't describe what your project is, what programming language or program you use, nobody can offer any advice.

I do understand the desire to be selective about whom you share code and processes with. I've quite a few programs I kept under my hat. I will say the most successful one I've written so far is a weighted random number generator that outputs numbers with a probability proportional to their relative frequency... [ More ]

Im working in Linux. Was looking around to see if anyone here was on the same track as myself. I will figure things out i know i will had lots of sucess with box hits, obviously there's much work to be done the goal is to zero in on straight hits. Thanks for all the input guys.

CT 8/31 DAY = (211) (911

I guess W1926's lotto number algorithm is classified information and none of us have high enough clearance to learn how it works, let alone what platform it runs on. In any case, I hope he solved the problem of the pesky 0s.

......but I've notice it adds a zero as the first number 63% of the time.

Doesn't sound like a math problem as much as a programming issue. The question I see is: Why is it adding a 0 as the first number?

Is this in a spreadsheet or a language based program?

Without more information on what you are doing and what you are doing it with, there is not much help we can offer.

G

Regarding the zero issue, I typically store the three digit result as text, and convert to number if/when I need to execute calculations on that number.

Concerning your statement there are some issues you need to be aware of , I've come across a few. For instance, I crash VBA when I attempt to use HUGE numbers, and for the modulo operation, I can't use the VBA expression a mod b for big numbers, I have to convert the equation to something VBA won't choke on, akin to (a/b) - {int(a/b) * b}.... [ More ]

Hey fellow-Connecticut-er! I'm out in North Franklin, way East of you, near Mohegan Sun.

I'm always working on something! Unfortunately, what usually happens is I do a bunch of statistical analysis or reams of coding in Excel VBA or other types of analyses, and always end up not being able to squeeze out anything better than 1 in 1000 odds.

My current focus is use of an LCG to generate a pool of numbers for the next draw, as proposed by AntonisCH and as summarized here: https://www.lottery... [ More ]

Your program Platform is important.

If Excel there are some issues that you must be aware of when your first or first and second numbers are 0 in a 3 digit combinations displayed in a single cell. There are also problems extracting from one of these cells when trying to separate same into 3 Cells.

Right Track? Is this your question in general

A lot of people here write programs that output lottery numbers. Some are pseudorandom number generators, some produce numbers based on hot/cold aspects of the draw history. Since you don't tell us how your program works, it is impossible to say why it is behaving the way it is and whether or not anyone has written a similar program.

The best general advice I can give you is to write a few lines of code that filter out any results starting with 0 if you don't like numbers that start with 0.... [ More ]

I'm working on a program to help me hit play 3, but I've notice it adds a zero as the first number 63% of the time. The problem im having is that I hate 0 as my first diget. The biggest amount that i hit in 7 years is about $1700 have only hit straight 4 times box more than 15. Is anybody here working on a similar program running into the same issue
