Thank you BobP!

I'll have to find Lotwin. I see a mention on LP from time to time. I have plans to apply this to the 6 ball games so every little bit of knowledge where others have done similar things helps avoid falling in the hole.

These principles should work with any game without a bonus ball. And that is just my thought from looking at Texas 2-Step (4 + bonus ball) and Kentucky's Lucky for Life and Cash Ball 225 games. It would work on the main 4 or 5 balls, but that bonus ball... [ More ]

If you ever get the chance to view the Lotwin demo, it does this.

The software finds the groups of numbers that have the most winning combinations for four, five and six winning numbers, along with the second, third best, etc. These groups grow in size up to all the numbers.

The problems are of course the large numbers of groups, that improve their percentages with each number added. Picking the next winning group in a wheelable size is as tough as any lottery prediction.

BobP

Cmoore50,

Most of my posts like this are queries to see if anyone has played with a given idea.

In a nutshell this is a concept design eliminating low percentage combinations while identifying those with a higher chance of winning. Its a blind taste test where you feed the computer what you're looking for and it/he/she/they decide(s) what goes where. There are likely dozens of ways you can define the groups.

By removing the human element you (hopefully) get cleaner data (no per... [ More ]

Some times you have give up that yellow striped purple pill that smells like roses and taste like hot buttered popcorn. You have to get barefoot and go running through the jungle to see things in a different way.

If the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over and getting the same result, there's no reason you shouldn't. Expect a few prickly, pokey things in your feet, spiders, snakes, and various creepy crawlies along the way.

After a couple of months roughing i... [ More ]
