There's a heck of a lot more positive people here than negative people, so if the positive people get engaged and upvote other positive comments, there is no way that small number of negative people can take over. It's when good people wring their hands and go silent just because of one negative person, that's when it gets bad.

Thanks for mentioning spite ratings. There are a few here who just can't bring themselves to give any thread a 5 rating. Also in some cases it's not the thread that gets a low rating but the person who started it.

I'm a wee bit leery of this new system thinking it will only bring out more spite ratings.

I have been somewhat regretful about the star ratings not being anonymous because it has become less of a spontaneous true feeling about a topic and more about keeping everyone in line. Very few ratings are 2, 3, and 4 stars. If someone dislikes something it's normally a complete negative of 1 star. If they like something it's a complete positive of 5 stars. So my thinking with this latest feature is just keep it to like/dislike, completely anonymous, and a single like/dislike does not drastical... [ More ]

The stars rating seems to be more like how much a thread is liked or disliked where your new post rating system is a simple anonymous like or dislike. My only suggestion is either making the thread star rating anonymous and/or the same up or down as the post rating.

There has been a Systems forum at Lottery Post for over 17 years. It is the place where people describe their systems that they use. There are 17 years worth of posts in there, so plenty to keep you busy!

Be sure to set the view to All History to browse through all 17 years of topics.

I actually just bought something from NY and the seller claims the pandemic and the President. The internet may not be for some of us. Well, it's working as far as earning money, making sales, having an app that tells me what profits. This site has been interesting and ups and downs. the app I use tells me what profits and so far so good. We have had disagreement in the past, some things I really don't care about on this site, maybe it's just me and I am more computer literate than some people.

As far as adding to the site i think my idea of having a forum showing what systems the members that post predictions use is a great idea! This might show some new ideas in addition to the systems that are already posted.

I agree with others that stars, arrows don't accomplish anyrhing. Ive seen extremely jealous people slam my threads with one stars but the systems still work. I think its good that the ids were posted so we could see the troublemakers. I've noticed the site has calmed down... [ More ]

While I never rate any thread or comment, I have noticed one member that likes to follow another member around (not me) and rate his/her threads with one star just for spite. Not mentioning names, but I always thought that is about as childish as a supposedly grown person can be. Of course there will be disagreements and arguments, I have had some myself. But, always get over it and move on.

Exactly. I get the point of putting in the option. It seems it was to eliminate clogging up the feed with congrats/thanks. A simple thumbs up to let someone know congratulations so that actual workouts and numbers can be seen. A way to encourage and let people know they like their contribution. Looks like it had the adverse affect though. Now we will have to read about people being upset about getting a thumbs down.

People fretting over ratings should chill a bit. If you're going to worry about one or two votes then honestly being on the internet may not be for you. There will always be people who disagree with you. Haven't we all learned that yet, especially in 2020?

I think so too Raven...I already got a bad mark for two different post I posted to a new member to try to

show him how to get around on LP and how to include his message in another ones so they will know

who he meant the msg. for...why would someone think that is a bad thing for me to do to help a new

member...some will probably use it to try and run off some posters on here....just like some put bad

marks sometimes on the ratings for spite.

I'd like to see a Last post read option along with (or in place of) Last post . At least this way, you can quickly find where you were up to in a thread and continue reading.

I can't see this up/down feature really adding to (or taking away for that matter) anything of importance.

I'd rather see exact play types added to the the pick 3/4 wheels...HHL, HLH, LHH and so on. That would be more useful to me.

That said, i don't do facebook, twitter or any of that sort of thing, so liking or disliking posts doesn't add to my experience here. In fact, I could see it creating confusion and butthurt.

I appreciate all you do to make this a great forum, just not sure who would benefit from this added feature.

I agree 100%. I feel like the point of it is to Oprah-fy the forums and encourage posts that get upvotes. Make it artificially positive rather than naturally positive.

It never works that way. The people like me who are divisive will then be encouraged to make posts that get lots of votes either way...basically any strong reaction is a good one, good or bad. Things were fine as is. This will not end well

I don't see anything positive coming from it. It will take us back to when certain members relentlessly bashed other people's work. That doesn't accomplish anything but long winded threads with people fighting.

The system does not reveal how any member votes on a post. It is different than the stars, which I have come to regret that they reveal each person's rating.

Each member gets one vote per post.

It has been changed to an emoji document symbol, so if you're using an old web browser it might not show up great because of poor emoji support. Also, the screenshot I included was for Windows. It will look slightly different in different operating systems like MacOS, iOS, Android, Chrome, etc. they will all show their version of a document symbol.

Today Lottery Post added its latest major feature: Upvoting and downvoting of forum posts.

Each forum post has a new numeric score and up/down arrows right above the content. Every Lottery Post member can express how they feel about any given post by pressing up to express a positive opinion, or down to express a negative opinion.
