? You said 1983 to 1987 the staring jackpot was $250,000, but in Nov 1983 the starting jackpot was increased to $1 million. Did you mean 1988?

Don't remember the 6/44 Super Lotto.

The 1983 to 1987 version of the Ohio Lotto was 6/40 with a starting jackpot of $250,000, but in November 1983 the starting jackpot was increased to $1 million. In 1984 eight people split a $24 million jackpot and started a string of 11 consecutive winning drawings. That and the previous drawing were the only $14 million jackpot were the only two double digit jackpots in the entire life of that game.

* Wow, that's brutal. Awhile ago the 2nd prize payout for either the PB or MM paid out something like $150K in CA.

* l could be wrong on the estimate but it was no way close to even $300K, whereas other States were paying out a million or more. We can thank Arnold the State legislature for that.

LOL. I forgot that when I lived in Ohio I was off by 1 number on the Ohio Lotto around 1985. Can't remember for sure but I think it was 6/45, $1 bought 2 lines, and the jackpot was $250,000.

Won about $800 or so.

I was happy and sad.

In 2015 when MM was over $500 million I had 4/5 and the mega ball was on the next line!

Paid a paltry $172. Still have a copy of the ticket somewhere.

I had a Customer tell me , I won $10,000 in the Lottery. She was sad smiling. I asked her why she had a Sad smile when she won $10,000, as that's a lot of money, and she replied something like, Yes, $10,000 is a lot of money, but I won 5 out of 6 numbers. Had I gotten the last number, I would have won 6 million! OUCH....

Can't remember ever being one number off so much. I do remember a few years ago I played 2 lines on Texas Lotto, which is a 6/54 game. I had 4 numbers correct on the first line and 2 numbers correct on the second line. I was excited and mad at the same time.

That's the closest I've ever got to a jackpot.

No CDT, that's a disaster in of itself. I was thinking more along the lines that you had the first 5 in the bag * a million or less after taxes, but it's the 6th ball you missed out.

Perhaps you chose 6 but 7 came up. That's the miss l envisioned.

Either you match numbers or you don't. Coming close is just an illusion that fools people who think a ball labeled 3 has some sort of special relationship with balls labeled 2 or 4. The reality is that they're all just a bunch of balls that are only connected by being in the same hopper.

Welllllllllllllllllllll, after checking a few times and realizing that the big one wasn't mine, I think the word Fudge would come to mind or something close to it.. I would then realize that I probably won some fairly serious $$ if I had only one number off...Now,if you are talkin' that 1 number was off on each of the 6 balls drawn???
