The chances of getting a triple in P3 is 1 in 100 and the chance of the corresponding P4 quad with the same digit is 1 in 10,000, so the chance for any pair of drawings is 1 in a million. Assuming there are 2 drawings each day there are 4 ways for the digits to match, so that's 1 in 250,000.

Assuming an average of 730.5 drawings each year (I'm optimistically including the extra chance in leap years) we could expect it to happen in corresponding drawings once every 1369 years, or once every 34... [ More ]

Using the Michigan calendar provided here on LP, I could not find a day where a matching triple or quad fell on the same day.
