Then they blame lower numbers on Jackpot Fatigue .

But in THIS case the Jackpot reset went DOWN..but it should return...back up to $40 Million..

When prices go up, they rarely go back down. No surprise there. My advice is to buy 1 quick pick ticket and be done. At least you are in it.

I was the same way. I used to buy 5 tickets when it was a dollar per line. Now I buy 1 ticket until it gets over $500 million. I might buy 3 tickets if it gets over a billion.

Lots of Playerz feel that way..and the fact that LOs reneged on their promise to reset @ $40 Million iz still weighing heavily in most usually devoted Playerz memory.. left feelin Played ..

I agree with that, nobody wanted more #'s in the JP games. But if you want bigger JP's, it's gotta be harder to win. Therefore, more #'s, worse odds, bigger prize.

I don't know one person who wished for 69 or 70 numbers. I think this is the state doing this for their benefit, not ours.

It's all our own fault. In the beginning people were excited and happy to win a 10, 50, 75 million dollar jackpot. Then we got greedy and said that wasn't enough. We want bigger jackpots.

So the Lottery said, Okay, we can do that. We'll add more numbers and make it much harder to win. And they did. (It was 56#'s, up to 75#'s at one point) AND, we'll charge you more to play on top of that.

So now, we got what we got. Be careful what you wish for.

a $40 million starting jackpot is not sustainable when half the tickets are being sold as they were before.

The lotteries don't need anyone to be an apologist. When the odds are 292 or 302 million to 1 the lottery is easily sustainable hugely profitable with jackpots starting at $40 million even if it take an extra couple of extra drawings to fund the jackpot.

Normally I don't take a cynical view on these things, but in this case I am surprised and disappointed in the lotteries for not resuming the $40 million starting point for MM and PB.

During the early corona lockdowns it was an obvious and important move to temporarily change the jackpots, because a $40 million starting jackpot is not sustainable when half the tickets are being sold as they were before. But ticket sales are no longer an issue. Things are back to normal.
