She knew the rules when she joined.

Now she wants to change the rules to suit her.

The manager won't comply.

Seems simple to me. But let's consider the treasury tenant is keeping 9 pounds. How is that different from any other group where the organizer charges a fee for doing all the necessary paperwork and bookkeeping?

Anyone who can put 2 and 2 together can suss out that the treasurer is skimming from the top (and probably the bottom and sides too) and that's why he/she won't tell OP what's in the fund. Most elderly are shameless cheats.

No need to insult the OP for wanting transparency and asking for advice, although being elderly, you might as well insult whomever.

I agree that she should play on her own. Playing in lottery clubs is just borrowing trouble.

If she don't want to play with the group she can buy her own ticket.

We don't know a lot about the group, circumstances, rules, and whatever.

We do know she joined a group knowing hos they do things and now she wants to raise a legal issue and change it.

Its their game, so they can do what they want as long as they agree to the rules of the group when they join.

You could probably cause them some headaches and trouble; complain enough and you might get the game shut down.

But why?

Hi

We have a private lottery group in our residence home

We pay 1 per number and the bonus ball is paid

to the resident who has that number.

The 9 left is held by a resident who is a tenant.

I have asked for the 9 they collect each week for the

funds to be put on the homes notice board so we can see

how much there is in the fund. The treasury tenant has refused my request.

They have also said it's illegal to pay the bonus ball winner

the 59. Is this true.
